E-Flite Blade CP Helicopter Review
If you haven’t got the hang of assembling a helicopter
then the factory assembled ready to fly E flite Blade CP model could be the one you should buy. Available
for about $219.99, it has a main rotor length of 527mm, a tail rotor diameter of 149 mm and its
flying weight is 324 grams.
In designing the Blade CP, Eflite stuck to the original or
traditional main rotor and tail structure, so this helicopter does not have coaxial rotors and in this regard
varies from the Eflites earlier Blade CX version. Not having coaxial rotors works as an advantage in giving
faster flight speed but the flipside is that the helicopter becomes a bit harder to
control.
The Blade CP has a 6 channel transmitter with servo
reversing, a 4 in one receiver and each helicopter has already been flight tested in the factory. Features
like electronic speed control system (ECS) and gyro are a standard feature.
The helicopter’s control uses eight AA batteries. Blade
CP is a durable little helicopter that can be fly inverted, and hover in a range of versatile positions
while moving in any direction.
Owing to its miniature structure flying it close to the
ground could be difficult but once you have attained height it becomes very stable. This helicopter can be
used by beginners, but for advanced fliers who like to execute tricky maneuvers the Blade CP is a good
option.
You can also add the aerobatic upgrade kit for moves
like ‘pirouetting’, figure eights, loops and rolls. The kit includes a rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack. The
charging time for this model is about two hours, the flight time after it is full charged is about an average
of ten minutes and if partially charged the flight times comes down
proportionally.
