T-Rex Helicopter Review
The T-Rex is a radio controlled helicopter created by a Taiwanese
company called “Align”. It comes in sizes ranging from very small to large. The first model that was released
by Align was the T-Rex 450, (currently the second smallest) with the main rotor blade measuring at a span of
315 mm. This was followed by the T-Rex 450 Xl which had a rotor span of 325mm. There are eight models in the
450 range, and each subsequent model has a slight modification on the former version.
The smallest helicopter is the T-Rex 250. Because of its light flying
weight (weight of 330g) this helicopter is capable of executing extreme maneuvers such as flying upside down.
A word of caution when flying; don’t fly too far out because of their small size they may be hard to
spot.
With a blade span of 425mm the T-Rex 500 comes next in line. It comes
in two forms; a carbon fiber and in a G10 version. Due to its 1700g flying weight it has more hovering
stability than the 450 version with a flight pattern close to the T –Rex 600 model. This version is suitable
for people who are new to flying, the only draw back being it’s vulnerable in winds over
10mph.
The T-Rex 600 is a full
sized electric helicopter, which comes in an aluminum and carbon fiber. Its larger size ensures stability even in
winds over 10mps. T-Rex 600 nitro as it’s name suggests is nitrogen powered, the first to be introduced by Align,
it has a G-10 Glass fiber frame set and a bump resistance plastic canopy .Though small and light it has incredible flight and stable
hovering.
The last and the latest to be introduced by Align is the T-Rex 700
nitro and is similar to earlier versions but in a larger size. All are obtainable at discount prices by
